"I'd give this place five stars just for the fact that it has parking in Lincoln Park. I went there for the first time using a Groupon. What a nice find! The place is nicely decorated and very comfortable. Everyone was very friendsly and most importantly, the sushi was delicious! I just a sushi place by how fresh everything seems and by a couple of their signature rolls. We had the orange sushine roll and the kyoto roll and a couple of standards as well. Based on reading the other Yelp reviews, we ordered the Dynamite appetizer which I must say is the best appetizer I have ever eaten in a Japanese restaurant....."

Well, they are back, and with flair!!!! Having eaten Sushi for almost 40 years, at Kyotos from its original inception, and previous to Kyotos when Michael (chef) was at another restaurant, I would say that the new Kyotos has out done themselves. The decor has been redone to create a very subtle and comfortable atmosphere.....

This DePaul-area BYOB sushi joint offers almost 20 varieties of nigiri and sashimi rolls, five entrees including yaki soba and vegetable udon, 10 classic Japanese appetizers including the ever popular shumai (steamed dumplings with spicy dipping sauce) and gyoza (pot stickers filled with meat). There are another 15 varieties of makis recommended by Kyoto's twin sushi artists, Carlo and Melvin.
